Master Spa Bath Remodel - Tommy Bahama Style

This is a custom master bath spa design for a 6 ft. tall, arthritic, mature woman who requested a “Transitional Tommy Bahama Style.”  Designing JOI, LLC created a low-maintenance lifestyle space with a serene, uncluttered tropical beach aesthetic. Client requested stone-like porcelain tile, a color palette of earth neutrals, sage green, and oil-rubbed bronze finishes, a rain glass shower. This major remodel was a complete retrofit and gut of the 170 sq. ft. bath.  Before photos show this 1980’s bath’s unsightly strawberry swirl, faux marble which was removed.  All electrical and plumbing were retrofitted with new fixtures to ensure the safety, function, health, and welfare of the client, in compliance with building codes. Custom iron Soho Manhandles accentuate the custom double vanity with granite countertop, adding to the client’s collection of African iron figures and motifs. Sustainable, universal, energy-efficient, eco-friendly, and ADA-compliant elements were successfully incorporated without compromising beauty & tranquility.
