This Modern Victorian Kitchen Remodel design is a "Storybook" fairytale, highlighting the client’s request for a modern Victorian kitchen, in fanciful pink, green, white, and princess-like hardware and crystal knobs.  This is a remodeled sustainable kitchen with eco-friendly and energy efficient elements that add to how the client functions in this space. The client also wanted the design to incorporate a fairytale atmosphere with a modern, Victorian, Old World and baroque style, and to remove the bar top. Another requirement was to create a durable kitchen that would withstand traffic of large dogs and cats, and for entertaining guests. The bar top was removed and replaced with a large marble peninsula, which opened up the to the adjacent living room.  Sustainable elements, such as waterproof luxury vinyl flooring were used with durable products, suitable for the client’s large dogs and cats. Other sustainable elements are low-VOC paint, an energy efficient refrigerator, non-rusting/low-lead, and ADA-compliant sink and faucet.  The kitchen is now the hub of the home and focal point for entertaining. It evokes a fun, pleasant atmosphere that transports the client back in time to her requested fairytale ambience in colors of pink and green.  The client enjoys her custom designed crystal backsplash with magical glass and marble. Obstacles overcame were the selection of pleasing, yet statement colors of pink, green, and white to complement the kitchen’s natural light.
