The objective was to create a personalized design concept for a mature woman’s  Master Bath Spa with a contemporary “Tommy Bahama Style.” This design functions as a low maintenance space with an tropical, ocean aesthetic, as requested by the client.  The client also requested natural stone tile with a color palette of earth neutrals and sage green with oil-rubbed bronze finishes to complement the tropical Master Bedroom.  This was a major remodel and complete gut of the 170 sq. ft. bath.  This 1980’s bath was drastically retrofitted and updated making it function efficiently, safely and sustainable for the 6 ft. tall widow.  New design elements:  custom 36 inch tall double vanity with new granite countertop, custom Soho Manhandles, undermount cast iron sink vessels, 6 ft. bath tub, spa shower with bench and niches, comfort-height toilet, lighting, glass backsplash, natural stone tile, flooring, low VOC (volatile organic compound) wall paint, custom cabinetry with organized storage systems for clutter (double vanity, storage unit above tub and linen tower), oil-rubbed bronze hardware fixtures and accessories, faux bamboo mirrors, and French door.
